Havva Okudan Soytürk is a PhD candidate in Maritime Business Administration at Dokuz Eylül University, Türkiye. She holds an LL.B. from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and an LL.M. in Sea and Maritime Law from Ankara University.

Her TENMAK research project examines maritime jurisdiction, continental shelf and exclusive economic zone regimes under UNCLOS, extended continental shelf claims, maritime boundary disputes, the Svalbard Treaty, environmental obligations and state responsibility.
