The Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP)

The Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP): we work with GCSP in matters of their High North Talks (HNT) since 2022. The HNT build on our network and bring together a small group of Arctic experts and policy makers under Chatham House rules around the issues of security, environment and governance. We are particularly involved in the governance part of the HNT. Until today 12 such HNT have taken place.

Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF)

The Sasakawa Peace Foundation supports the upcoming fourth volume of our GlobalArctic book series, whose focus will be on BRICS+ in the Arctic. In it, we will examine the growing role of non-Arctic Arctic stakeholder states, particularly BRICS+ countries, in shaping the future of Arctic geopolitics in terms of security governance, and climate change. The volume is co-edited by Gunnar Rekvig of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation and Matthias Finger of TENMAK. In addition to supporting the call for contributions, SPF will host a conference in Tokyo for the next GlobalArctic book, bringing together select contributors to the volume.

Turkish Energy Nuclear and Minerals Research Agency (TENMAK)

We work with TENMAK since 2025 in matters of research about Arctic energy and minerals resources. In particular, we coordinate TENMAK’s three-and-a-half-year GlobalArctic resources research project, whose aim is to understand both the potential and the limitations of the Arctic’s energy and minerals resources within the context of the rapidly changing Arctic and global environment (climate, geo-economics, technology, and geopolitics).
